Music
Ferny Hills State School has a qualified Music Specialist teacher who conducts lessons each week to all year levels. Years P-6 students participate in this music program.
Choir
Our school has a Choir ranging from Years 2-6 students, and is training under the guidance of a Choral Specialist and the Music Teacher. The Choir performs within the school, at competitions and various functions within the community.
Instrumental
A program of brass (trumpet, trombone, tuba, euphonium and bass guitar), woodwind (clarinet, flute and saxophone), strings (violin, double bass and cello) and percussion (drums and glockenspiel) is offered as an extra-curricular activity. The students are trained under the guidance of a strings, woodwind, brass and percussion music specialists. Lessons are timetabled during school times and ensemble rehearsals are held before school.
