Ferny Hills State School is offering a Bring Your Own Device Program for Year 3, 4 and 5 students in 2020. This program, entitled ‘ELF’ (E-Learning @ Ferny) is for all students in the cohort.

Parents are strongly encouraged to provide a new or pre-owned iPad that meets the school’s specifications, outlined in the school’s ELF Policy.

The aims of the ELF Program are to:

  • enable personalisation of student learning through access to rich learning resources,
  • facilitate the development of knowledge and skills necessary for the 21st century workforce, including digital-age literacy, innovative and creative thinking, effective communication and high productivity,
  • allow continuous access to educational materials allowing learning efficiency to happen anywhere, anytime,
  • provide an engaging, interactive environment for learning, and
  • strengthen links between home and school, giving parents the opportunity to see, every day, what their child is learning at school.

Communication to Parents
